Still not sure how to describe memes/Encore des doutes sur les mèmes

Alice Olausson

Published by Postfirebooks, in 2022.

This book, written in French and English, unfolds as a sequel to my exploration of translation and internet language in my master's thesis, titled Post la Poste (French for Post-post). It offers a brief, quite chaotic, encounter with the enigmatic nature of internet memes, with a little help of art history.

The book was co-created with, and designed by, Thomas Ducrocq, the founder of POSTFIREBOOKS. The images were carefully selected from @veganfeminist.v2. Thank you, again, for your precious help.

The book is currently sold out. Thanks to POSTFIREBOOKS, it was presented at Le Bal - Paris Festival Rolling Papers, 2022, in Paris, at Librairie Le Bal Books; Grrrround Zero - Festival Paper Melody, 2022; Floréal Belleville - Festival PARIS PHOTO OFF 2022; at the INDIECON FAIR in Hamburg, Germany, in 2023; Zinefest at Marché des Douves, in Bordeaux, 2023; Fanzineist at Semperdepot, in Vienna, 2023; and more.
